UMMS

The Unit Maintenance Management System (UMMS) is a fully integrated computerised engineering administration and maintenance management system developed by ISC to replace the UK Navy's legacy systems. UMMS is built to offer high resilience, RCM-based maintenance management for ship and shore use.

The UMMS infrastructure is web-based and is designed for both ship board users and very high numbers of shore-based users.  Its infrastructure fully takes into account the demanding security requirements of a military environment.

The primary features of UMMS are:

RCM

Reliability-centred Maintenance (RCM) was developed by the civil aviation industry to determine the maintenance tasks that are needed for each aircraft.

Over the past twenty years, RCM has become the method of choice for developing maintenance schedules for high cost assets that have significant downtime costs or where failures could lead to serious safety or environmental problems

RCM is proven to deliver maintenance that is effective, economic and auditable.
In the defence sector, ISC's RCM RN Toolkit provides RCM facilitators, analysts, auditors and technical secretaries with an application that meets the requirements of Defence Standard 02-45.

RCS

Reliability-centred Spares (RCS) is a technology derived from Reliability-centred Maintenance (RCM).  While RCM matches your organisation's maintenance tasks to the operational requirements of your physical assets, RCS is used to ensure that stocks of spare parts especially those of high value, production-critical parts are able to support your organisation's maintenance and production goals. RCS considers all inventory policies, including:

Just-in-Time: ordering spare parts only when they are needed.

Local stock: buying and holding a number of parts in your organisation's store.

Third party stock: a contract with the equipment vendor or a third party to hold inventory on your behalf.
